Title: For sale: PLI patent bar course w/ bonus materials Post by Easebus on Aug 16th, 2006, 8:26pm I just passed the patent bar exam on my first try with this set of PLI home-study materials. Thank you, PLI! I am selling this set on ebay, item number 300017889740. Copy and paste that number in the search box on ebay. You do not need to pay a premium for a newer set of materials. Although PLI published this set in 2004, I studied with this set and I passed on my first try. All you need to get and will get from PLI are the fundamentals that are frequently tested on the exam. Most of the time, you will have to look up the MPEP anyway. Hone that skill. Therefore, it does not matter how new your PLI materials are. Read PLI only for the fundamentals. The key is to do the 2002 and 2003 exams, and read what is being currently tested at patentbarquestions site and the IP discussion board. Those sources will update you with the new changes in the test, including upcoming changes in October regarding MPEP Rev. 4, faster than PLI. Furthermore, you can update Patware free through PLI. Finally, composite PDF versions of the MPEP are available free . Because you only read PLI for the fundamentals, this lucky set is all you need. What’s more, if you get this great set from me, I will email you the hundreds of flash cards that I made while studying and doing the practice exams. Reviewing them is a fun and effective way to imprint in your head all the little rules frequently tested on the exam. A sample of the flash cards is below. The set of materials are in great condition, with so few marks that you will not notice them. The set consists of, in order of importance: Complete set of course audios on 38 CDs: Hear John White lecture anywhere, anytime, at your convenience. This works great in the car on your commute to and from work. Complete set of course videos on 6 CDs: See John White lecture on your computer screen as if you were sitting in a live lecture, only with all the flexibility and control that comes with playing videos. Full Review Binder: Use this main course binder along with the lectures. It includes Course Schedule, Study Guide, Claim Drafting & Amendment Supplement, Study Guide Exercise & Practice Exam Materials, ClaimsLight Claim Drafting Workbook, New Law and Rules and MPEP Supplement Materials, and Key Words Glossary. Patware Software 8.0 (you can easily update Patware on PLI's website): Simulated testing environment with tons of released exams, practice questions, etc, allowing you to customize the exams, giving you a good breakdown of your performance Prime Questions: The workbook of sample questions reviewed in the lectures after each topic is covered ClaimsLight: A number of claims related exercises Manual of Patent Examining Procedure: The thick paper MPEP Edition 8, Revision 1 book. You actually do not need this book and should not use it because you should practice looking up using a MPEP PDF, available free. Use Rev. 4 if you plan to take the exam after October. However, it matters little what Rev. you use for studying. I studied with Rev. 1 and passed while Rev. 2 was in effect. Use the links listed above to discover the new questions regarding the differences between Revs. Post-course Schedules and Exercises Post-course Exam Pak Pre-course materials: Basic introduction to patents Pre-course VHS Video “Read Me First” Letter: Instructions from PLI regarding how to use the review materials listed above BONUS MATERIALS If you buy the above great set of PLI materials from me, I will email you the hundreds of flash cards that I made while studying and doing the practice exams. Reviewing them is a fun and effective way to imprint in your head all the little rules frequently tested on the exam. A sample of the flash cards is below. Print them on normal letter‑size plain papers, cut along the rows and fold in half along the column divider to make flash cards. Email me if you are interested in buying these flash cards without buying the PLI course from me.
