I'm taking the Patent Bar soon and am done with my Longacre materials. I'm just taking practice tests now.

I bought the materials used on eBay a few months ago, and they are from when the test was paper-based. Includes the study guides and his 20-disk 40 hour CD course (they are all in Quicktime movie format). The books are highlighted and marked, but still very useable.

I'm also selling a CD with a computer-based test simulator on it which uses the old tests and has some features like identifying questions that have been repeaters. I'll throw that in with the Longacre materials as well which should be all you need to prepare for this test.

My email is bfree_247@yahoo.com - let me know if you're interested and we can talk more. I think Longacre has been very helpful and i'm feeling very confident going into the test.

Thanks.

Pay attention to the other posts - carefully review the agreements you adhered to by purchasing your study materials. Some companies will report you to the OED if they think you violated that agreement by reselling the materials.

Jonathan,

Thank you for the warning.
Fortunately for me (or unfortunately for me?), I couldn't find anybody who could sell used materails and I bought a new one directly from Langacare.

Beth, I was wondering if you could tell me if you had to sign anything or agree to anythign that said you wouldn't resell the longacre course? I've got an older version of it, and there isn't even the standard copyright notice on the front page of the manual.

Also, I've been suspicious of the original poster of that thread for the reasons stated in the thread, especially since people who work for companies who sell patent bar prep materials are known to visit this forum.

Hey jd78605w.  When did you buy it, and what's the date on your course material?  I bought a set new last June (2005) direct.  The study guide is dated May 2004.  I had to stop studying for a while so I checked back in Jan to see whether there was an update.  I was told no.  I just noticed that the Longacre site now says 2006 course material now shipping.

I bought Longacre's material direct, in April 2006.  The study guide is dated 2004.  As no PTO exams have been released since 2003, I assume there are no updates though.
