Becoming a Patent Agent in USA

Hi,

I am 37 yrs old and completing my Ph.D in Neuroscience in June 2008. Presently, I am a Permanent Resident in Canada and will be a Canadian Citizen by August or September 2008. I am very interested in pursuing a career as a Patent Agent in USA and have purchased the PLI Patent Exam preparation kit and preparing for the USPTO exam. I have a couple of questions and would greatly appreciate if anyone could answer them:

1. Where can I get information on applying for Patent Agent jobs? Are there headhunters (or can anyone suggest) who deals with finding jobs?

2. Can anyone with Canadian citizenship work in the USA as a Patent Agent with TN1 Visa?

Thank you.
Neuron.
