Price for PLI Patent Review Courses

Hi,
I was planning to buy the PLI Homestudy course, but then realized besides the $2500, I would have to pay an extra $400 for keeping the lecture DVD. That makes the total price pretty high.
I would like to confirm my understanding is correct, and there is no way to avoid this extra $400 if I want to sell it later on eBay.
