Is the on-line MPEP used during the exam a single PDF file?  Or, is there a separate file for each chapter that you have to manually load yourself?

Each chapter is an individual file.  The index is too.
 
You select your chapter from a pull down menu.
 
They load up fast, though, so no big concerns there.   Grin
 
Be aware, though, that the MPEP automatically closes as you move from question to question.  Not too troubling, but a bit of a pain.

Would you recommend in most cases loading up the TOC, unless you're absolutely sure of which chapter you need?
