Is EE really better than ME?

I'm seaching through jobs on monster rightr now just to get an idea of whats out there for patent attorneys, and it seems like most are asking for an attorney with a BS in EE or CS...Is it much harder to get a high paying patent prosecutor job as a mechanical engineer?

Right now EE is in highest demand.  Although, I don't think that should discourage an ME with strong UG grades.  Relevent work experience does not hurt obviously.
 
If you have strong UG grades and graduated with a high class rank in law school, it will mostly depend on what market you are in.  The larger, the better.
 
If being a patent attorney is what you really want to do, I'm sure you can find a job somewhere assuming your grades are good.
 
I'm assuming you are thinking about going to law school?
