Question on "dates" for exam

Will the exam notify you if a specific day is a weekend (Sat/Sun) or Holiday?
My practice exams have the information in parentheticals and I assume it will be on the exam as well.
However the latest practice exam had the following question which has me worried

Mon April 5, 1999, Office action mailed to P. Rejection of all claims and 3 month SSP. Very last day to file a reply without requesting an extension is ___
(A) July 2, 1999
(B) July 3, 1999
(C) July 5, 1999
(D) July 6, 1999
(E) August 3, 1999
***
And in an editors note
"July 4, 1999 is a Sunday making the following Mon a federal holiday...this is the only question where a calendar would have been useful or necessary to select the best answer"
Should I have the memorization of calendars on my to-do list
Editors note makes it sound like this is extremely rare but it has given me a cause for concern...

When days of the week are important, you'll be given them. In fact, when you see a day of the week listed on a question, you should look to see if the PTO is try to pull a fast one on you.
You really should know July 4th is a holiday, with the fireworks and all. December 25th is another one to look out for...I hear that fat men on sleds prevent the mail from reaching the patent office that day. Aside from those two days, you shouldn't worry about some obscure question regarding flag day or a similiar second rate holiday.

Not sure if you missed the nuance of the question...
July 4 is an obvious holiday...it is also NOT listed as a solution
July 5 appears to be the correct answer at first glance. However...as the editor's note points out July 4 occurs on Sun making July 5 the federal holiday which extends the deadline by 1 day.
The original question provides none of the vital info necessary to select the best answer...more specifically July 5 isn't listed as (Monday)
Therefore there is no reason to believe July 4 is a Sunday unless you have the calendar from 1999 committed to memory
Is this type of calendar dependent question so rare I shouldn't worry about it?

In case my original post was unclear let me rephrase some key points
The editor's note is NOT part of the original question. It is provided in order to understand the correct answer. The original question AS WRITTEN only has dates from 1999 with no days of the week listed.
Is this type of deadline question what I need to expect on the actual exam? One with no days of the week given leaving me in the dark unless I have an entire calendar year memorized by days of the week.

Back in the day, you could bring a calendar into the exam with you. I suspect that the exam in question was given in April of 1999, and that test takers could figure out the day of the week for a day in July with a little bit of counting.

No, you cannot bring a "date" to the exam. You have to take the exam by yourself and besides, he or she would be very bored for 6 hours. They'd probably never go out with you again.
Seriously, the computer exam I took used obvious ones like July 4 and Dec 25. They almost always will have Tuesday Dec 26 or something like that as an answer choice, making it pretty obvious.
