Let's see if I have this straight..... I hope to take the exam around November 1st. Because an applicant has a 3 month window to take the exam once approved, I probably wouldn't want to apply until somewhere August 1st, correct? That way, if my application is approved around Sept 1, I would have a window from Sept 1 to Dec 1 to sit for the exam, right? Thanks in advance.

Did you answer yes to any of the character questions? A friend of mine is Category A and had his approval back in 3 weeks. He submitted his about a month ago. |
| My approval left the OED June 12th according to the post mark. Very quick turnaround for me. FYI I reported a traffic ticket from 98 that isn't even a part of my current driving record and had no problems

| That is correct. But if you plan to take the exam around Nov 1. I'd recommend that you aim to have your window start around Oct 1. If you run into unexpected interruptions with your studies, you'll have until Jan 1. No point in wasting part of the 90 day window. Don't push the start of the window too late though. Check with the test centers in the area to see how heavily booked they are and how much in advance you need to schedule an exam. You need to allow time because you can't schedule the test until you get the approval letter, which contains your registration number. But if your schedule is flexible (that is, you don't have a hard deadline), that's not a big deal. My approval came in 2 weeks.
