Hey all, i'm planning on sending in my app next week. I have form 158 and the necessary funds ready. But i have a question about my transcripts and proof of residence. Transcripts: Do i have them sent to myself and then attach them to my application? (and will my school seal them?) Residence: I was born and raised in the US, so what do i have to do (if anything)? Thanks

Have the transcript sent directly to you and enclose it with your application. Surprisingly, PTO does not require that it be sent in a sealed envelope. To avoid confusion on the word "seal": the transcript itself must have an official stamp or seal. The envelope does not have to be sealed (glued shut by the university and a stamp or seal placed across the flap so you can't tamper with it).

Oh, forgot the second part of your question. You don't need to submit proof of residence. I assume you're referring to some applications (such as driver's licence) that ask for a copy of a utility bill, bank statement, and the such. I highly recommend that you enclose a self-addressed, stamped postcard (get the one sold at the post office). On the back, list every document that you are submitting. That way you'll know that OED got your application (people on other posts keep wondering whether their application was lost, or whether OED was slow to process).
