30 days from date of failed exam. If you fail, get your reapplication ASAP if you want to take it again on the 31st day.

Wondering about this too. Hope I don't need to address it. If you get the provisional flunk on the computer, can you send in a new application right away, or do you need to wait for an "official flunk" in writing from the OED?

I flunked on a Tues, and got my official letter on that Sat. Looks like they don't delay on confirming the bad news. The letter does say that you can reapply right away, but you do have to wait 30 days for the second round.
