Hi, Just starting to study for the patent bar. Where can I buy a copy of the MPEP? Also, could anyone recommend a good basic patent bar book? I don't want a $900+ course, just something that might break down the MPEP and give me a bit of initial guidance to begin my studying (I know nothing about the patent bar, and very little about patents). Or does the MPEP do all of this? Thanks.

Place not to buy the MPEP - Government printing office. I think they offered to sell me one for $150 back in 2002. Buy the MPEP from West Publishing for under $80. The answers to every patent bar question is in the MPEP, but reading the MPEP may not be the best way or quickest way for you to get up to speed. It's a practice guide, but not a training manual.

Hi Isaac, If I have been working as an engineer and have not touched patent bar exam before, but I want to prepare for the bar exam now, which way do you think is the best or quickest to get up to speed? I have no idea where to begin. Thanks for any suggestion from you or other friends.

You should buy a patent bar review course. Browse ebay.com. Buy a newer version.
