I too was hired, and just secured my apartment at the ****n at Carlyle. It's literally a 2 minute walk door to door from my place to the USPTO, and I can't wait to start.

Did they tell you what your schedule would be (5/4/9) with one day off or do they discuss that after training is over in 8 months? Did they let you decide your schedule? I would like to telecommute. I guess you don't have to! I am curious to know how hectic the job really is.

i know this is kind of aloaded question, but i was curious if im starting off at gs5or 7... (fresh ee undergrad) and progress through the ranks at a moderate pace... how long will i have to work to become a gs 14.? is it something thats possible in 5 years? 7 years? 10 years?

You guys should see if you like the job first before you start talking about things that are years away. After you get off probation (2 years?) i guarantee you will see this job in a completely different light... Good luck.
