Does anyone have figures regarding anticipated hiring for patent examiners in TC 1630, 1640 and 1650s? ie How many new hires are they looking for per year? How difficult is it to get into one of these Technology Centers? What is the burn out (turnover) in these TCs? When do they start hiring for the year - fall, spring, winter, summer? Thanks

I interviewed for a position in 1610 and was told that there were two start dates in May and Nov., respectively. A couple of weeks after my interview, the SPE emailed me asking if I could begin in May and I was appreciative, but responded with a Nov. would be better for me. Now I'm emailing the SPE inquiring about Nov. and he said he hasn't received the hiring quotas yet so cannot make any commitments, but will know hopefully by the end of this month or early Sept. Has anyone been told they can work in TC 1600's for Nov. yet?

There is about a month before the September start date according to some of the posts. Considering how slow the process seems, is there enough time before that start date to be hired?

Hello! For those of you starting August 20, do you know if we have August 31 off? I apologize for asking such a trivial question, but HR couldn't answer my question, and I wasn't sure if the schedule will be different in light of Labor Day. Many thanks for your help!

I need someone who is living in Alexandria to help me with the following question. When I asked (emailed) the manager of the apartment I am going to rent regarding phone service and high-speed internet service, he immediately suggested me to contact Comcast for all 3 services: phone, high-speed internet (cable modem), and cable TV, for $99/month total. I have never used any phone service through a cable company. Also, with so many units of apartment tenants close-by in one single building, wouldn't the cable modem internet service be slow some or most of the times? I am not familiar with that area; is this the right thing to do: subscribing all 3 services through a cable company? Thank you in advance for your help ! applied
