Title: what do i do now?

i had a dream last night and the dream gave me an idea for an invention. Trouble is, i haven't a clue what to do with it. can anybody help? would appreciate it if you could email me if you could help me.

If you really believe, you could translate that invention into a marketable product or process, then you can consider patenting the invention. But before filing a patent for the same, conduct a search (advisable to take professional help from a patent agent/attorney) to determine whether the invention meets the patentability criteria. By conducting initial search, you can avoid considerable costs associated with patent filings & prosecutions, in case if it is determined that your invention does not meet the patentability criteria.

At this point, if you dont believe that you could translate your invention into marketable product or process, then you may consider dreaming again.
