Hi:
I have an idea for a book, and would like to safeguard the idea, as well as the work Ive done so far, how would I go about doing this and is it necessary?
Or should I just go ahead and send my material to a publisher?
Im in Canada.

Among many ways to go with, I would draft an abstract and send an inquiry to publishers and see whether they are interested in your idea publishing in a book.
