Is it worthwhile to file the $6 Date of Conception  disclosure with the Patent & Trademark Office ? Does
it protect you in any way during the Patent process ? What are the advantages and disadvantages ?

Assuming that you mean the "Disclosure document program" a significant disadvantage is that the PTO throws the material out after two years unless it is referenced in a patent application.   Another disadvantage is that if it is so referenced, there is a loss of control of what material is included in the file wrapper.

At best the disclosure document can be used to prove a date of conception, but whether or not it is useful depends on what gets filed.   I don't see any huge advantages over a properly kept and witnessed inventor's notebook.
