Hi Ive posted here a few days ago and i got some good ideas on what to do with my "invention"

As I mentioned before my "invention" is a service that might or might not be patentable....
but anyway I was searching the internet looking for business ideas and I found someone that has the same idea as me posted on a business ideas forum

I've actually emailed this person and plan on trying to become a business partner with the idea because if he is posting the idea as well it makes me think even more that my idea is not patentable.

Is this a good idea to try to become partners with the same "invention"? any advice?

Generally speaking, it's better for two competitors to work together rather than fight amongst themselves -- assuming no anti-trust issues.  Whether it's a good idea for you in particular is based on too many unknowns for me to say.  Partnerships are like marriages -- in fact, a marriage is a special sub-set of partnerships.  Think about entering a partnership like you would enter a marriage -- sort of.

One thing that's worth pointing out is that, without a patent application already on file, the publication on the business ideas web page has already jeopardized protection outside the US, Canada, and Argentina, and might jeopardize availability of patent protection there as well.

Regards.
