exclusivity to product idea

i have a blockbuster product idea that i have made several working samples of. as of yet i "have not" applied for a patent. i have only documented all of my ideas in a book / diary. i have what i think is the perfect customer that i have a meeting with to show this product to. i will have this person sign a non disclosure agreement. it just so happens there is a second perfect customer that i can also disclose this idea to. and i can tell this first customer that i will probably contact "so and so" because it might be a perfect fit for there product line as well. so "THE QUESTION IS" can i "for a price" give this first person "exclusitivity to the idea" a agreement "not to pitch the idea" to anyone else for 30? 60? 90? days for x amount of money? the product has mass appeal and a hugh potential.
thank you for your time, any thoughts would be welcomed!

There is no reason why you can't enter into an agreement along the lines you suggested.  It amounts to an option to the first company, of sorts.
