Title: Rejecting posts
Post by Tony Kondaks on Nov 24th, 2006, 5:40pm
When I hit "preview" after I have written my message, it has happened twice that the next page gave me an "error" message telling me to hit the back button and ameliorate the mistake I made (one time my user name was already taken and the other time it told me -- mistakenly -- that I had included a reference to a web address, which I hadn't).
The problem is this: when I went back to correct the mistake, the slate was wiped clean!  That is, the very lengthy message I wrote was completely gone and I had to start all over again!
Suggestion: could you either reprogram it so that when the "back" button is hit, my already-written message is intact?
Or, if that isn't possible, give me a warning BEFORE I hit the "preview" or "post" button to save text in the event that I do have to go back and correct.

Thanks for the feedback.  That has got to be frustrating.

However, this is actually a problem with your web browser.  I use firefox and I do not have the same problem.

That said, we will likely be changing the software that runs these forums and we are hopeful that this problem will go away.

Again, thanks for your feed back.
