I'm trying to post a rather long message to one of the forums, but I keep getting a "spam" error, even though my message contains no links. I'm trying to cut and past the message in from Word because it's long and I've gotten burned in the past when I type in a long question and then I get an error and when I hit "back," my whole message is gone. I thought it might be something about symbols or Word, but I removed all the symbols (section sign) and tried saving as text and pasting that, but neither worked. Does anyone know how to cut and paste without triggering the spam filter?

Don't have an answer to your question but try splitting your post into two to three posts.

Thanks for the suggestion, but it didn't work. I can't imagine what the problem is, but then I'm virtually computer illiterate so I guess that's what I get.

Because your post is gone when you go "back", I assume you're using Internet Explorer instead of a more full-featured browser like Mozilla's Firefox. That would suggest some variety of the Windows operating system -- probably XP. I don't use Windows much, but somewhere there should be a Notepad program. Any simple text editor will work. Notepad is just simple and should be in just about any Windows installation. I'd suggest typing your post in there -- or any text editor. Then, you can copy and paste into the message composition form here. If it's too big, you can go "back" and your post will still be in the text editor. Then, you can paste just part of it and create a second post for the remaining part. You can keep trying until it all gets posted. Regards.

Thanks again for the suggestion, but that also didn't work. I also tried saving in Notepad with the four different "encoding" modes available, but none of those worked. Finally, I typed in the entire message into the form online, and it *still* gave me the spam error message. This really limits the usefulness of this forum for me, if I can't even post questions or comments, as well as being a very frustrating waste of time. I really wish this could be fixed, but I'm giving up for now.
