Intellectual property on a forum

I was on an anti bullying forum.  Apparently my views clashed with a moderators views.  I was banned.

Now I would like to make clear to the moderator that my posts shall no longer be available to them.  This is just fair.

Here is the last post they accepted from me:

"Hi,

What should we do to help?

I want to help.  I want to do something to thwart the bullies.  Other people are here, not to help and not to seek help, but to post stories.

They must have a reason.  What would that reason be?

Jay"

I do not have access to MY posts anymore.  But they do.

I do not want them to use my posts in any way.

How can I prevent them from doing so?

The chances are quite good that you've granted the forum owner an irrevocable license to publish your posts once you posted them.  Check the T&C of the forum.

I have recieved new information which I did not have at the time I made an agreement with the forum.  This new information would have caused me to limit their rights or not grant them any rights whatsoever.

I could not have known about this information at the time of the agreement.

I do not want to argue that the forum has an implied obligation with the members of the forum, but that is obviously true.

The obligation has nothing to do with legal or illegal.  The contract is only enforceable while they live up to their implied purpose.

If they do not, the contract is worthless (except to people who are biased toward the forum)

Have you tried a polite request?  It seems likely that there is no right to force removal of your posts.

I am being ignored.

The right I have is the right of an author.
