Aloha!

I have been writing a series of short pieces involving a particular character (my pseudonym for these stories is the character's name, as well.) How do I go about copyrighting, or otherwise protecting, this character's name against usage by someone other than myself?

In short, you can't "copyright" the name.  If the work is published as a series, however, you might be able to claim trademark protection for the name.
