Employer vs a hired spiritual channel

Question: Who owns the copyright on the results in the exchange of information between a paid (part time employed) spiritual channel, and the individual who is providing the 'seed' thought of the inquirey, and is paying for the service and channeled information, including the channeled results of the inquirey? There is no written or oral agreement of any type.  This arrangement has been over a period of about 3 years, and usually is accomplished by communication over the telephone, each person residing in different states, both adults.

Copyright protects only original expression fixed in a tangible medium of expression.

I do not fully uncircumstances you are describing, but what I am having the most difficulty with is finding the fixed expression and determining who in the heck did the fixing and creating.

Ideas are not coprightable.  Only the particular expression of those ideas in a fixed form is protectable.
