I am part of a small religious school/ministry. A former friend has decided I am involved in a cult and has been maintaining a web site to 'expose the evil'. They have taken my picture and name from the university site of which I am a part, and posted it on their site (along with other staff members) with dire warnings and accusations, all of which are imagination or ridiculous exaggeration taken out of context. Do I have any legal recourse to have my name and picture removed from this person's web site? They claim 'fair use law' gives them the right to post these things.

You may have several causes of action. Hire an attorney.
