Not sure if this is the right place to ask, but I need to find a person in Canada to get their permission to use an image of them in my publication. I have exhausted all resouces to find this person to gain ther permission, does anyone have a clue what I can do now? Where I can get this info? They are fairly well-known and I want to make the attempt and pay them.
Also, what can I do if someone says 'no' if I ask them for their permission to use a photo of them in print if it's a photo portrayed in a positive manner (not defamatory)? Can I use it anyway?
Any advice or information will be appreciated.
