Hello,

I graduated as an EE from a top 14 engineering school with a 2.83 overall GPA and a 3.12 GPA in my last two semesters.  I've got 5 years work experience at the PTO as an Examiner.

I'm not sure how law schools will interpret my GPA.  My GPA doesn't even come close to the median GPA at some 4th tier law schools.

Does anybody know whether my work experience or difficulty of degree compensate for my low GPA?  I've got a decent LSAT score, even above the 75th percentile LSAT score for the entering class at the schools I'm considering.

Thanks

There is some good information on this topic under the Becomig a Patent Agent/Lawyer forum and then the What are my odds of getting into law school? thread.  I hope this helps.

Please check out George Mason, Georgetown and George Washington.  You may get outstanding merit points from those law schools.
