Website Title Tags

I have a competing company in my area requesting that I remove or change the title tags (not domain name) on our website. We have it titled Twin Cities Real Estate Advisors, and the competing firms name is Twin Cities Real Estate Advisors, LLC.. We do not use this anywhere else in our webpage and our company name is completely different, however we use the title tag as a general description of our real estate services not a company name. Do they have a right to request that we remove the title from our webpage title bar? Also, I dont believe they do but would it make a difference if they had the phrase trademarked?
Are Website title tags or meta tags protected in this case?
