COURSE OFFERING: San Francisco State University Design of Department and Industry / College of Extended Learning TOPICS IN DESIGN AND INDUSTRY: INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY DAI 475 Online course covers intellectual property from the perspective of the innovator. Patent, trademark and copyright law are introduced as well as the methods of obtaining protection. Workplace issues, non-disclosure agreements and licensing agreements are also introduced. This is a fully online course that provides the flexibility required by working professionals as well as the structure expected by traditional students. Learning takes place through readings and a series of homework assignments.
