Screen Shots & Video Captures[ Follow Ups ] [ Post Followup ] [ Copyright Forum ] [ FAQ ] Posted by Ken Brown on September 15, 2003 at 09:40:59:
I develop a training program that shows how to use a software program, for example Quicken (I use the Quicken name only to illustrate my question to you). I use screen shots from Quicken and video captures of specific tasks being performed in Quicken. These are images and vidoes are then incorporated into a training course I wrote to teach end users how to use Quicken. I sell to dealers that install the program on end users that already own a copy of Quicken. I have not obtained permission from Quicken for these screen shots and videos. Is this an enfringement since the end user already owns a copy of Quicken?
