I have been asked to sign an employment agreement in a "work-made-for-hire" situation and there is a section I have questions about. It is asking me to waive all rights of "Droit Moral" regarding intellectual property created by me during employment, such as reports, essays, visual design, forms, etc. I realize it would be impossible to not sign this agreement and remained employed by this organization, but I would like to reserve the right to future use, whether now known or hereafter devised, of all works created by me during the "work-made-for-hire" period without any obligation to the LLC or with restriction to me. The LLC will retain all rights to use of property but is asking for exclusive property ownership and sole authorship. Do I have rights in this case for future use without restriction and obligations to me while releasing my work to the LLC for their use also? Thanks so much.
