Selling original copy "not intended for the public" violation of copyright[ Follow Ups ] [ Post Followup ] [ Copyright Forum ] [ FAQ ] Posted by A Kellerman on March 26, 2003 at 00:54:25: I am selling on ebay the original records of radio programs given to me by radio stations. These are 15-25 year old shows, with recognzable names. There are over 2 dozen for sale at any time, and the price is usually less than $50. The only prohibition on the mateiral itself is "must be destroyed after broadcast." The copyright holder informed me that I am in violation and should pull the itme. Pulling the item puts me in breach of contract with bidders. How serious is this, and are they just making noise to protect their rights?
