Using Pages of Books as Art[ Follow Ups ] [ Post Followup ] [ Copyright Forum ] [ FAQ ] Posted by Steve on February 06, 2003 at 15:27:29: I would like to know if it is legal to tear a page out of an art book (Thomas Kinkade for example) and then mat/frame that page, then sell it as "page from Kinkade's book "title" framed and matted. I do not alter the image nor do I make copies. I simply take the page, place it in a frame and sell it as described above and I want to make sure this is legal. Could you point me to the correct references?
