: When the author of an email CC (carbon copies) an email to you, do you now own that email or is it still the property of the author? Can I post that email on the web if it is not deflamatory to anyone?
There is no question that you physically own, what you receive. Unless there is a copyright notice on the document, it would seem safe. I would not take the responsibility of saying it is. I'm sure that there may be some circumstances that may have to be considred in some situations.
