: When a retailer scans a product to put on their website, is that image copywriteable? If so, does this mean that all other retailers who also sell the same products are unable to scan the same image and use it on their own web sites once someone has claimed it as their "intelectual property"? Also, are images posted on a public bulletin board on the web copywriteable?
