: This is somewhat unrelated to copyright per se, but can one take any legal action against a neighbor who is essentially in the process of carbon-copying our landscape design with the choice of material and location in the yard : used for spa, patio, deck, wall plants, trees, etc.? As far as I know, our architect has not protected the plan with a copyright protection. : Thank you. I'm willing to give my gut feelings about the law but cannot afford to spend time for research without compensation. There does not seem to bu much that can be done. There may be a cause of action for unfair competition. There is a Federal Cause of Action for unfair trade practices. The local copying probably does not come under the Federal Law. M.
