Images would be resold to the public. (Is it legal to take a picture of someone's car and sell it to the public.) Would I have to get some kind of "release" from the owner of the vehicle? Thank you very much for your help! : Dear Mr. Plogman, : It sounds all right but, where was the car when you took the picture, where were you? : M. Arthur Auslander : Auslander & Thomas-Intellectual Property Law Since 1909 Mr. Auslander: Thank you for responding to my question. I have not taken any photos yet but are planning to soon. Does it make a difference where the car is or where I shot the photo? The subject vehicles (cars, bikes) will be at car shows, rallys etc, so it is a public (pay admission to the show) event. Images will be significantly digitally altered and liscense numbers will not be legible. Does this help clarify my situation? Looking forward to your reply. Dave
