Hi All,

I am a website designer and new to the forum.

QUESTION: My client is an artist. He wants
to sell his paintings as original works in his
own name.

He has a book of Thomas Kinkade's artwork.
He has used Kinkade's subjects as a basis
for his own art.

They are not exact replicas. Also Kinkade uses
oil and my client uses watercolor.

Can you tell me if my client can sell these under
his own name as original works of art?

Thank you in advance,

Michelle
