: Another program is using a similar format to the one I have in mind.We both would have a purchase required to get into a free matrix and cycle through to get a free prize.Their required purchase is a book and ours is joining a program. The matrix is a simple single file progression to the top of the list-get the product.Nothing unique.Could this other program have a valid complaint against us?If so what would we need to do to not conflict? Thanks for the info

Dear Mary,
Copyrights protect a mode of expression, patents protect the claimed part of an idea or concept. If you are not physically copying, from what you say you may not be in copyright danger. Is there a copyrigh notice on the work you refer to?
