: : I am an on-site contractor in Facility Management. I "inherited" an on-line work request project which was non-functional written in cold-fusion through an outside Web Development Company. Due to the time I needed to deliver and the budget having already been exhausted with the development company -- (and because I thought the attempt based on hours billed and deliverable was outrageous) I started over-- developed the flow clearly through Powerpoint on exactly how I wanted program to operate, right down to Categories, Q&A, routing, assigning, scheduling, status updates, viewing floor plans, closing and charging back, queries, etc. The functionality was designed, by an outside company using Dreamweaver / SQL and hosted on an offsite server. From a "design" perspective I have also spent time going in and working on format layout, design elements. Outside company focuses on functionality, leaves something to be desired on how it looks. : : There is now talk of launching this to other locations, and even interest by other companies. Do I have any right of ownership?
