The problem is that the law is not one clear immutable thread. That's what keeps us in business and also sometimes in distain. I don't trust doctors. I want to be reassured that the doctor knows what he is doing and that he is not billing in his interest and not mine. With copyrights, if the client has many registrations, I often show them how to do what they need as long as the usual routine is followed. I then am available for questions on the changes in routine. The big problem with "do it yourself" is that if you make a mistake it may not be discovered until later when the costs can be big losses or big money. M.
