You are safe though using a c in a circle, your name and year of publication, notice on the photograph. This protects you in at least 75 countries, although if action is necessary the steps for registration must be taken on a country by county basis. As a caution the US copyright should be applied for within three months of "publication". Without a copyright notice or prompt filing there are losses and difficulties. M.
