Dear Rebecca Pinkstaff,
There is seldom concern with copyright until there is publication. Are you going to publilsh? Usually the money comes when there is a publisher. The publisher usually takes care of the copyright. Do you have a publisher? That is the hard one. I'm not trying to rub it in this is a Reality Check®.
