Artistic Copywright Infringement?

I am a tole painting artist. I recently saw a design on a surface that was done by another artist and displayed at a show. Her design is copywrighted. It is a hand painted design of 3 hydrangea flowers and, rosebuds with what we call in the tole painting world, "filler flowers". My question is, can I also paint a design placing 3 hydrangeas, some rosebuds and filler flowers in a wreath or will that be a copywright infringement? I sell my work, just as the afore mentioned artist does. The "design is a copywright of such and such Arts" is confusing to me. In tole painting, everyone's art looks different and unique, as mine would, even though the method of painting is the same. In other words, there are only so many ways to achieve an effect, ie. shading, highlighting, etc. Does her copywright notice mean that I can't produce anything that is structured similar to that particular work?
