Dear Nakiea Ramsey, A poor man's copyright is a thing uncertain in law. If you know what you are doing a registered copyright is good for your life plus 70 years. The Government filing fee is only $30. Why can't you do it right? If you do it right you can know what to do for more than just one copyright, If you do it right there is a grace period for filing. If you don't do it right at the start you do not lose your rights but you are caughtin a tangled web that may deprive you of some of the benefits of your work. M.
