I have been to a lot of websites where they people have take pictues of movie screen and posted them on websites. The site owners are say thing this is with in law. So if this is with in the law, what is the difference then somebody going in with video camara, filming and posting clips that on the web. If you have answer let me know. : : arkitek : I think what arkitect is talking about are the "groups" that release what are called "Cams" of new movies released in theaters. Now these groups upload these cams to servers where people can download them. The group must also upload a "sample" of the cam for people to preview if they wish before they download. These sample files are usually around 10 megs in mpeg1 format, others in mpeg2 format. Is it possible to use these on a "News" site of some kind for informational purposes? Dear Scooby Doo, While what you say may have truth, relying on generalizations won't save you from an infringments suit. The worst, looser suits can be brought which you cannot afford to defend. M.
