: Let's say I am a model maker and want to make a model of "Corporation A's" equipment. Major "Corporation A" was bought out by major "Corporation B". Both corporations had distinct names and images (trademarks). All of the now combined "Corporation B" uses the names and images only of "B". I want to create a model - for sale, which visually depicts the distinctive equipment previously used by "Corporation A". Can I do so?
Dear Mr. Hoeton,
While is looks as if you ought to be able to do that, I wouldn't say yes until I went through the whole picture and was reassured that it is all right. If there were legal certainties there wouldn't have to be lawyers.
