hello I am really lost on this one. If I hire someone to carve a decoy for the purpose to make molds to duplicate the decoy and then to sell the molds and or decoys made from these molds for hunting purpose. what forms of legal claims are there? Is this only protected under a patent? If I understand correctly a work of art is copywrightable but once it becomes a mass produced product it falls under patent law? please help me to under stand..

heres a simple break down of the plan:
Pay carver to make the decoy
reproduce decoy into manufacturing mold
reproduce the decoy and molds for resale
