using song titles in a script.

: i,m currently writing a script, and i plan on using some song titles and artists names in my script.......is this legal without infringing on any copyright laws. Also as this is my first script, i was wondering how i would go about copyrighting it myself. : it is my understanding that here in the UK there is no need to register, so how do i get a copyright heading?
