drawings and internet[ Follow Ups ] [ Post Followup ] [ Copyright Forum ] [ FAQ ] Posted by Jack on November 07, 2001 at 12:21:39:
Can I make a drawing, using a CD cover photograph as the reference (ie ... the drawing is a fairly realistic sketch of the face of a jazz musician seen on the CD cover ),and then animate the drawing by turning it into an animated GIF, and then post the animation on a web page ? Is it a copyright infringement do make realistic drawings based on another's photograph ? Further, if I post any art work, illustrations, or animations on my web page obviously they can be downloaded anywhere. How am I protrected from what the public might do with original work I post on my web site ? thanks,
