Intellectual Property - unique insurance concept - LTC[ Follow Ups ] [ Post Followup ] [ Copyright Forum ] [ FAQ ] Posted by Skip Gribbin on June 11, 1999 at 22:22:21:
I developed a totally unique approach to a specific type of insurance policy. It consists of a two-policy approach to cooperate with a specific Federal law while it provides much more flexibility in benefits for the policyholder than the Federal -type policy would allow. It has been approved as filed in several states and is being leagally sold now under the auspices of several states. This approach is recognized as unique by those in the insurance industry who are aware of it. Certain recent developments and apparent future laws may make it even more important to copy. How can I protect this policy/approach from being copied by another company? Can this be somehow structured into intellectual property which can be patented or copywritten?
